AdMob: iPhone now half of U.S. smartphone traffic

Apple’s iPhone now represents half of all U.S. smartphone requests on AdMob’s network, according to the mobile advertising marketplace’s August 2009 Mobile Metrics Report. Research In Motion’s BlackBerry devices are a distant second at 14 percent of all U.S. smartphone requests, trailed closely by Google’s Android at 13 percent.
