Twitter a good project management tool?

By: DigitalMediaBuzz.com

Can Twitter actually be used as a good project management tool?

As I observe everyone in meetings, conferences and during press announcements so many seem to jump on their mobile device or computers to  update their twitter feeds, or send a tweet as it is known. Why could Twitter not also be used as a project tool to update (in real-time) all project members, and also share observations during a vendor presentation or status meetings? Does this not fit perfectly into Agile project management methodology?

  1. Nirav says:

I am agree with the Mr. McLennan’s comment. But I am more concern about the confidential data interms of deliverables and milestone. If you are working on such project or product which might be the eye candy for your competitor, twitter might be the bad idea.

  2. I think it would be brilliant for the following
    - Scope changes - update everyone at once and track the changes as the develop
    - Task updates - quick and to the point
    - Planning milestones - PM Could quickly update what is due and when
    - Chase actions and get updates

    The possibilities are endless!
